Sussex - based Wedding Photography by Neil Macaninch

My wedding style is a very informal, more documentary style of photography. I tell the story of your day through candid, unposed images, capturing all of the emotions, laughter, and joy that the Bride & Groom are often too busy to see. If you would like posed photos as well, then I’d be delighted to do that too.

Charlotte & Adam, Suffolk Wedding Photographer

Possibly the most lavish wedding I’ve ever photographed, the ceremony took place at the stunning Church of St Peter & St Paul, Lavenham, Suffolk. The flower arrangements were stunning, as was the weather. The reception took place at the bride’s family home in Suffolk, with 2 marquees set up, one for the speeches and meal, and the other for the dancing, with a superb funk and soul band leading the revelry.

Paul & Vicky, Brighton Wedding Photographer

We’d all been nervously watching the weather for the week leading up to the wedding, and it was all looking a bit grim. No need to worry though, we woke up to glorious sunshine, perfect for this wedding on Brighton seafront, at the beautifully refurbished Bandstand.

Stephen & Kate, Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer

This wedding took place on a gorgeous Autumnal day, some clouds but mild and a lovely atmosphere. The setting was the stunning Walkern Hall, Stevenage.

The clouds gave way in the evening for a lovely sunset for drinks on the lawn, and one of the best wedding bands I’ve ever seen.

Nadege & David, London Wedding Photographer

This was a fantastic wedding that took place in Battersea, at the historic St Mary’s Church. The two families got on like a house on fire, and they danced the night away at The Duke’s Head, Putney.

Michelle & Steve, Norfolk Wedding Photographer

This wedding was designed to feel like a festival, held over 3 days camping at the beautiful West Lexham, Norfolk. On the first day, friends & family pitched in to help get everything set up, followed by gourmet pizzas in the evening. Day 2, we woke up in our tents to torrential rain. Luckily, the clouds parted in the nick of time, the sun came out, and the outdoor wedding went ahead as planned. Queue loads of laughter, dancing, and singing until the early hours of the following day.

Lis & Andrew, Lewes Wedding Photographer

This was a lovely wedding on a warm July afternoon in Lewes, East Sussex. The location was The Grange Registry office. The Grange Gardens were once the private garden of the Grange built in 1542 by William Newton and briefly the home of John Evelyn, the diarist, and are a perfect oasis in the heart of the historic East Sussex.

Lis & Andrew got married watched by immediate family and a small group of close frieds.

Carly & Ashley, Windsor Wedding Photographer

Carly & Ashley decided to celebrate their Silver Wedding anniversary at the beautiful Litter Dower House, Windsor. It was a lavish event, with a stunning marquee, a gorgeous walled garden for drinks and nibbles, and topped off with a view of Windsor Castle. To top it all off, the weather was absolutely perfect.

After the meal, the excellent band brought the house down, with the dancefloor packed for the rest of the night.

These pictures and a blend of candid and posed portraits as requested by the clients.

Nic & Den, Brighton Wedding Photographer

Nic & Den decided to get married in a small bespoke wedding at the lovely Hotel Du Vin, close to Brighton seafront.

They only wanted immediate family and close friends in attendance, which made it a friendly, intimate affair. The weather was patchy, so when the skies cleared, I managed to get all of the guests out onto the hotel balcony for a series of portraits, in addition to my usual informal, documentary style.

Paul & Emelina, Lewes Wedding Photographer

Paul & Emelina tied the knot at The Grange, Lewes, a beautiful registry office with an amazing garden at the back. Close family and friends joined them, with a larger outdoor party to follow a week later.
